Business Plan
A business plan is a detailed work plan for the proper and efficient planning of a venture or business. Private investors and venture capital funds examine business plans in order to decide whether to invest in the venture or business.
Launching a new venture or improving an existing business requires prior planning, which must include the most important business aspects, such as: how much funding is needed, at what price to sell the product or service, who is the management team, how to acquire new customers, how to penetrate the market, key milestones for each stage of the investment, and more.
- Market Research Market research is the process of gathering information about various markets, with the aim of expanding understanding of the business, marketing, and competitive environment. Market research is a critical and initial milestone for a startup or venture, containing essential and significant information for investors whom the entrepreneurs will meet in the future to raise funds. The data collected during the research presents real-world business facts and helps derive insights and make strategic decisions. Market research is a fundamental component of a company’s marketing and differentiation ability, and based on the findings, the marketing plan can be established.
- Marketing Plan A marketing plan is essential for any venture or business because it defines the various points of interaction with the audience and competitors. A marketing plan serves as a roadmap to achieve specific marketing goals within a defined timeframe. The plan outlines the marketing actions and strategies the venture or business needs to implement in order to meet those objectives.
- Financial Plan A financial plan allows forecasting the financial future of the venture or business. It examines the required investments related to research and development, marketing and sales, management, general expenses, etc.—all to get a clearer picture of the total investment needed from the entrepreneur or the future investor. The financial plan includes the break-even point and return on investment according to the overall business plan.
- Executive Summary The executive summary is a concise document covering all the important aspects of a venture or business, starting from the problem it aims to solve, the proposed solution, market size and potential, competitive advantages, and more. All the information is presented in a clear and easily readable format, intended to attract the interest of investors, funds, organizations, etc. Once the investor has reviewed the executive summary and shown interest, a meeting is arranged for the investor presentation. An investor pitch based on a solid business plan can differentiate a venture or business from others competing for the investor’s capital. This serves as the first impression upon which the decision to continue the investment evaluation process will be made.

Preparation to Meet Investors
An investor meeting is one of the most significant and complex stages in raising capital to advance the next milestones of a venture or business. We conduct simulation sessions together with the entrepreneurs in order to improve the chances of successful fundraising. The process requires learning about the investor, preparing a list of questions, and formulating appropriate responses. It is essential to use the allotted time with the investor wisely and manage it effectively.
Investors want to understand your venture or business and the risks involved. Be honest about your expectations and needs—investors are looking for realistic and practical plans. The more focused and professional your preparation, the closer you will be to securing funding and moving forward toward your next milestones.
